Treehouses come in all shapes and sizes, finished in almost anything you can imagine and with a huge range of activities that can be part of the whole treehouse adventure.
Tree houses can be built just for children or just for adults but generally the tree house is a combination of both. The tree house will be used the most if it has a combination of two things, space i.e. a large deck and a range of activities: rope bridges, knotted climbing ropes, rope ladders, trapezes, slides, swings, crows nest's, monkey bars and zip wires. A large deck allows children space to play and adults room for entertaining whether it is dining or a very pleasant ‘sundowner'!
How about a boat house or a log cabin for entertaining? Being by the side of a lake or hidden in a wood in your bespoke wooden garden structure is special. How about a pair of platforms with a Burma rope bridge high above the ground? You walk out of your house through a beautiful pergola, past the bespoke pool house with the large deck by the pool, up the garden past your home office.
Further on you find the bespoke garden shed and log store. Out comes the mini tractor, up through the wood to the log cabin and tree house. In the wood is a fabulous adventure area. Before the excitement a quick visit to the eco loo. You come to a spiral wooden, open tread staircase which takes you up to a lovely large deck. Nestled in the trees on one side is a tree house with a cedar shakes roof. On the other side is a Burma rope bridge stretching off into the trees to an octagonal platform and another rope bridge disappearing from view. Near the tree house is a ladder leading to an almost hidden crow's nest. A combination of knotted climbing ropes, rope ladder and solid walkways gives this a real feel of Sherwood Forest.
Crossing the first Burma rope bridge I spy a zip wire. This runs over the top of the log shed, past the home office and almost back to the pergola by the house. Phew, time to sit on the deck by the pool house and relax!
